Customer Logistics Coordinator
Our Aurizon Bulk West division is a growing logistics business that includes rail operations, ports and terminals, containerised freight, and trucking.
As the primary operational and logistics contact for customers, you will coordinate customer service across the business unit. You will provide daily and weekly ordering and scheduling support, resolve service issues, and help identify and implement operational improvements.
About the role
- Manage customer enquiries: Manage orders, changes, account queries and disruptions. Keep customers informed.
- Strengthen customer relationships: Stay connected and identify service improvements.
- Optimise fleet performance: Plan and schedule services effectively to improve asset utilisation and minimise operating costs.
- Coordinate the logistics network: Work with providers and address performance risks.
- Manage service disruptions: Advise customers of forecast disruptions and actively drive recovery plans and solutions.
- Align internal services: Schedule services, set Bulk West priorities and guide emergency responses.
- Partner with LiveRun: Manage 0–48-hour handovers and emerging issues.
- Support portfolio growth: Tailor logistics services to customer needs and grow revenue.
About you
- Experience in customer-facing logistics and operational scheduling, with a focus on maximising assets and resources.
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI and SharePoint.
- Clear communication: Tailor messages across channels to meet the needs of different audiences.
- Customer focus: Build strong relationships and deliver customer-centred solutions.
- Collaboration: Develop effective partnerships and work with others to achieve shared objectives.
- Sound decision-making: Make timely, well-informed decisions that keep the organisation moving forward.
- Process improvement: Identify opportunities and help develop practical solutions that improve the way work is done.
