Experience

George was appointed to the position of Group Executive Bulk & Containerised Freight in July 2025. 

For the five years prior to this appointment, George was the Chief Financial Officer and Group Executive Strategy. In this role, he led all aspects of financial management, strategy, asset management and procurement for the Company including the delivery of key transformation programs and strategic reviews. 

George joined Aurizon in 2013 and has held a range of senior leadership roles accountable for strategy, M&A, business development and sustainability. Prior to joining Aurizon,

George held roles in infrastructure and banking with KPMG and Suncorp. George holds a Bachelor of Commerce, is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder and a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA).
